YOU HAVE OPTIONS!
Art is there, but… you’d like something else. This is a common problem. Take the damn thing down. Really look at the bare naked wall. Take your phone, ipad or picture/postcard and put it up there and eye ball it. Does it look like it might fit? Like the colors? Great! Ask the artist or gallery or art rep to bring it to your home or office. Most will do so at no obligation. (I do!) See if you like it. If you do, then buy it. Size matters people! So what size is the space you need to fill? Perhaps more than one piece will fit – or a diptych or triptych. More pieces that are the same size hung together as a grouping works. Let the gallery/artist/rep know what you need. They may present ideas you had never previously considered. Rotate your stuff! Art is not wallpaper! You can move around the work. Rotate your art with the changing seasons. Look at what you have and what you need. Troll Facebook and Instagram. There is a lot of art on display on Facebook and Instagram. Artists and art dealers hang out there. Get to know them. Support a local artist/s! By supporting a local artist/gallery/art rep you help the local economy and also make someone else very happy.
