Feminist Tour of the Norton Simon Museum Celebrating Women’s History month and Support Women Artists Now Day
Margaret Danielak, Owner of Pasadena-based Danielak Fine Art and author of A Gallery without Walls, will conduct an independent Feminist Tour ofThe Norton Simon Museum on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. The tour will highlight the work of the woman artists in the permanent collection including Elisabeth Vigee-LeBrun, Berthe Morisot and Barbara Hepworth. Danielak, who is the daughter of artists, will draw upon her experience as an artist representative and curator to introduce important works by women artists to tour participants and discuss their relevance in today’s art world.
Danielak has received grants from WomenArts to conduct Feminist Tours of The de Young Museum in San Francisco and at The Huntington-Virginia Steele Scott Galleries of American Art in San Marino. A workshop leader and art marketing expert, Danielak holds a B.A. in History from the University of California at Berkeley and was a Producer Fellow at American Film Institute in Los Angeles. Her handbook, A Gallery without Walls, was a featured selection of North Light Book Club.
The Feminist Tour of the Norton Simon Museum is underwritten by WomenArts (www.womenarts.org) in celebration of Support Women Artists Now Day/SWAN Day, an annual international holiday celebrated during March, Women’s History Month.
