"There is a lovely park along the coast just south of the main streets of little Carpenteria. Carpenteria is on my way to Santa Barbara where my daughter and her family live. I pass it frequently. In good years the grasses are high and filled with flowers. Along the coastline the eucalyptus arch out and frame the view to the Pacific. Sometimes when the sun is setting, the light filters through the eucalyptus leaves and lightly dusts the tops of the grasses along the path to the sea." - Marian Fortunati
