Located among the sandstone cliffs of New Mexico, Echo Amphitheater is known for its unique echoing auditory properties. Echo Amphitheater was one of Mr. Stevens' favorite subjects. A natural amphitheater located in the Carson National Forest in northern New Mexico, it is located about 4 miles north-northwest of Ghost Ranch where Georgia O'Keeffe lived.
