"We were staying at the retreat near the Carmelite Mission in Carmel, CA.  I woke up very early and walked outside the retreat to enjoy the beautiful morning light as it glided across the tall dried grasses on the hillside and peaked through the lofty branches of the nearby eucalyptus trees."
