"My studio is around the corner from a large swath of land called the Whitnall Highway, cutting diagonally across the San Fernando Valley. The Highway contains a forest of many huge power towers, and their size and shapes inspire me—the delicate and elegantly-minimal structures slice the sky into geometric shapes and reflect the light. One particular tower became my muse, and I painted it often at different times of day and in varying weather conditions. “Peaceful” shows my muse on one of those perfect, sunny California afternoons."
